"Mates"

 

Poetry and small films tend to go hand in hand, this form of content is becoming increasingly popular, prime examples are Giff Gaff's Big Vs Small Ad (here) and Nation Wide's 'Face to Face' ad (here).  These ads inspired me to create a short film with poetry in mind, so I contacted my good friend and aspiring scriptwriter Scott McManus (who is also the actor) to develop this idea.

 

After catching up over a few pints we decided to film a situation that men often find themselves in, a situation where their friends only ever communicate over WhatsApp, Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram (sound familiar?) and all they crave is to meet for a quick pint at the local pub.
